Owner and craftsman Silas Platte has been working with wood since the age of eight, learning the trade alongside his father. After years of experience with two professional carpentry companies and running his own flooring business, Silas discovered his passion for custom finish carpentry. Today, he specializes in fine cabinetry and detailed finish work that combine craftsmanship, precision, and timeless design.

Silas approaches every project with a commitment to quality and attention to detail, creating custom pieces built to last. From cabinetry and trim work to other custom carpentry projects, each build reflects pride in workmanship and care for the client’s vision.

The business is supported by his wife, Emma Platte, who manages organization, communication, and marketing to ensure each project runs smoothly from start to finish. Together, Silas and Emma run Platte Custom Carpentry while raising their three daughters — with a fourth child on the way. Their family-centered approach brings warmth, professionalism, and reliability to every home they work in.
